Food Safety Training

Lionheart Safety offers either a face-to-face accredited training option or online Highfield Qualifications assured courses, some of which are available as a blended learning option.

Food Safety

  • Food Safety in Catering or Manufacturing – Level 2 (high risk food handlers)
  • Food Safety in Catering or Manufacturing – Level 3 (supervisors)
  • Food Safety Management in Catering or Manufacturing – Level 4 (Operations or senior Managers)
  • Bespoke onsite food safety induction training on CCP controls

HACCP

The Highfield Qualifications HACCP qualifications are suitable for both food handlers and supervisors working in most food operations.

  • HACCP for Catering or Manufacturing – Level 2 (high risk food handlers)
  • HACCP for Catering or Manufacturing – Level 3 (supervisors)
  • HACCP Safety Management (CODEX Principles) – Level 4 (senior managers/ HACCP team leader) 

Allergens

The Highfield Qualifications allergen suite of qualifications are supported by Allergy UK, who regard them as suitable staff training for catering outlets that wish to apply for their Allergy Aware Scheme.

  • Allergen Awareness – level 2 (for food handlers)
  • Allergen Management – level 3 (for supervisors) 

Auditing

  • Premises Auditing and Inspection – Level 3 (Food Safety responsible person)

Health And Safety Training

Accredited online / face-to-face option are available for some courses or as blended learning. 

  • Health and Safety– Level 2 (employees)
  • Health and Safety – Level 3 (supervisors)

  • Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) – Level 2
  • Risk Assessment – – Level 2 (employees)

Fire Safety Training

 Lionheart Safety fire training courses offer an engaging course designed to ensure that you understand your fire safety responsibilities as an employer or fire warden. Courses can be fully accredited face-to-face or assured online training or they are available for some courses as a blended learning. 

  • Fire Safety Principles  – Level 1 (employees)
  • Fire Safety – Level 2 (Fire Wardens / Marshalls)
  • Managers duties and responsibilities in fire safety (bespoke)
  • Onsite fire training, evacuation planning and use of fire extinguishers (bespoke)

Licensing

This course can be offered as either face to face or a blended online option for the Personal Licence Holders course with an accredited exam

This qualification is aimed at individuals working in, or preparing to work in, any industry that involves the retail sale of alcohol. Anyone wishing to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol by retail on licensed premises must hold a personal licence.

 

Topics include the nature, purpose and period of validity of a personal licence, the application process and legal duties when applying for a personal licence, the legal duties of a personal licence holder, the roles, responsibilities and functions of licensing authorities, the nature and strength of alcohol and the effect on the body and the law in relation to premises licences.
